Terms of Service

Last updated: August 3, 2026

These terms cover our public website at frc1811.com and our private team admin panel at admin.frc1811.com (together, the “Services”), which are operated by FRC Team 1811 “FRESH”, a student robotics team competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition. By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Who may use the Services

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

The admin panel contains personal information about students. Treat it with care.

4. Misuse of the admin panel

Access to the admin panel is a privilege extended to trusted team members, not a right. It holds the personal information of your teammates — many of them minors — and it publishes content that goes out under the team's name. Misusing it does not just affect you: it directly damages the team's image and the trust that members, parents, our school, our sponsors, and FIRST place in us.

Misuse includes, but is not limited to:

Actions taken in the panel are associated with the account that performed them, and sign-ins record the device and network used. Mentors and administrators may review this information when investigating a report of misuse.

Members found misusing the admin panel will face consequences proportionate to the infraction, as determined by the team's coaches and mentors. Depending on severity and intent, these may range from a warning and required retraining, to reduced permissions or removal of panel access, to suspension from team activities, to removal from the team. Serious cases — such as deliberately exposing another member's personal information, or accessing accounts that are not yours — may additionally be referred to school administration under district policy, and where the law requires it, to the appropriate authorities. These consequences are in addition to, and consistent with, our Membership Agreement & Code of Conduct.

5. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you write or upload. By posting content to the Services, you give the team permission to store, display, and share it as part of running and promoting the team — for example in blogs, announcements, the gallery, outreach materials, and award submissions. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share. We may remove content that breaks these terms or our Code of Conduct.

6. Our content and code

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. By using the Services, you agree to it.

8. Third-party services

The Services rely on outside providers, including Cloudflare, Railway, MongoDB, ImageKit, and Google. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the service. Our website may also link to other sites; we are not responsible for their content.

9. Availability and changes

These Services are built and maintained by students, and are offered free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of them at any time, and we cannot promise they will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We may also suspend or remove an account — for example when someone leaves the team, or breaks these terms or our Code of Conduct.

10. Disclaimer

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Information on the public website, including schedules and event details, may change or contain mistakes — please confirm anything important with a mentor.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, FRC Team 1811, its members, mentors, and affiliated school will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of the Services. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
