What FRESH Admin does

FRC Team 1811 is a student robotics team of roughly forty members and mentors, based at East Side High School in Newark, New Jersey. Running the team means coordinating a lot of people, meetings, and deadlines across a competition season. FRESH Admin replaces the scattered spreadsheets and group chats we used to depend on with one application where members can:

• Check in to meetings and let mentors track attendance across the season.
• See the team calendar, upcoming events, and competition schedules, and RSVP to them.
• Receive and complete assigned tasks, and answer team polls.
• Read and publish announcements and blog posts, which appear on our public team website.
• Get push notifications for meeting reminders and urgent team updates.
• Let mentors manage member profiles, subteam roles, and the safety information needed for meetings, travel, and competitions.

Who can use FRESH Admin

FRESH Admin is a private, invitation-only application. Accounts are created only for current members and mentors of FRC Team 1811, and only by a team administrator. There is no public sign-up, and there is no public content to browse inside the app. This page exists to describe the application and its use of Google Sign-In.

How FRESH Admin uses Google Sign-In

Team members may optionally link a Google account so they can sign in to FRESH Admin with one tap instead of typing a password. Signing in with a username and password always remains available, so linking a Google account is never required.

• We request only the openid, email, and profile scopes.
• From these we store the member's Google account ID, email address, name, and profile picture URL.
• This is used for exactly one purpose: recognizing which FRESH Admin account belongs to the person signing in.
• We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties.
• We never receive access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, or Calendar, and never receive the member's Google password.
• Members can unlink their Google account at any time inside FRESH Admin under Settings → Privacy → Account Linking, which immediately deletes the stored link.

FRESH Admin's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Who builds and operates it

FRESH Admin is designed, built, and maintained by the student software subteam of FRC Team 1811, with mentor oversight. The team operates under East Side High School, with district oversight and support from the Newark Board of Education. It is not a commercial product, is not sold, and carries no advertising.
